Mission Statement
The Purchasing Services Department is committed to
supporting the mission of the University of Connecticut
Health Center, which is “helping people achieve and maintain
healthy lives and restoring wellness/health to maximum
attainable levels” through research, education and clinical
care. This department is staffed by procurement
professionals who have the requisite knowledge, skills and
training to assist UConn Health Center personnel with the
acquisition of materials, equipment and contractual services.
Utilizing this expertise and our best purchasing practices and
with the highest standards of professional ethics and integrity.
We ensure that the procurement decisions will be made in the
best interest of the UConn Health Center and in compliance with
all federal laws and regulations, all Connecticut state
