Advertising Policy Guidelines

The following is a guide to direct departments to determine the proper process for advertising efforts.

1. Recruitment Advertisement (e.g., employment, post-doc, staffing campaigns)

  • Any recruitment advertisements that are through a form of media (print, television, internet, etc.), are required to be reviewed by Human Resources prior to its release.

The Health Center has contracted with the Graystone Group Recruitment Advertising to assist with print ad development, placement and proper exposure by accessing hundreds of outlets. Additionally, they are able to provide advertising at a discounted cost.

2. Other Advertisements (e.g., marketing campaigns, legal notices, research studies)

  • Policy 2007-09 (PDF): All other non-recruitment advertisements through any form of media will be processed in the following manner:
    • Under $2,000.00 submit a CO-17 to Accounts Payable with proper support documentation.
    • Over $2,000.00 submit a requisition in FRS for P.O. issuance by Purchasing prior to advertisement posting.
